What Participants Do:

Learn how to create an endless stream of prospects and clients by doing 10 simple things consistently.

Program Structure and Agenda:

During the first two sessions they will receive all the tools and training they need to design their individual 28-day marketing action plan.

Session 1: 90 minutes

Explore the basic principles of professional services marketing, and determine where they are stuck in their own marketing. They will learn about:

  • Effective marketing strategies
  • How the strategies they choose impact their results
  • The Universal Marketing Cycle
  • How to decide exactly what to do

Session 2: 90 minutes

Choose the best marketing strategies for them given their personal strengths, target market, and business development needs/goals.

  • Select their “Success Ingredients” (the missing ingredients they need to be more effective in their marketing efforts)
  • Design 10 specific daily or weekly marketing actions
  • Draft and submit their 28-day marketing action plan to program leader for review and feedback

Sessions 3, 4, 5, 6: 45-60 minutes each (depending on number of participants)

The real power of the GET CLIENTS NOW! program is in these follow-up group coaching sessions, focused on each participant implementing his/her action plan and being coached through any obstacles to success.

  • Participants will implement the personalized marketing action plan they designed in the first two sessions. In each session, they will report what they did and didn’t do and what results they achieved.
  • The program leader will coach participants on accountability to their plan, help them solve logistical problems, provide assistance with overcoming fear, resistance, and procrastination, and acknowledge their efforts and progress.

Faculty

All courses will be delivered by Donna Payne, a business and marketing coach with extensive experience training consultants, professionals,  and business owners in sales and marketing.

Logistics

Each course will consist of a minimum of 3 and up to 6 participants. The program will be delivered via teleconference seminar. Participants and their coach will meet on a telephone bridge line, allowing live interaction between all participants.

In addition to the live teleseminars and coaching sessions, the program includes:

  • Email handouts
  • Weekly email support between class sessions
  • Program leader’s review of individual marketing action plans with feedback
  • Additional tools, as needed, to facilitate participant success

All class sessions are recorded so participants who miss a session, or wish to review, may listen and review at their convenience.

Participant Requirements

  • Responsible for any long distance charges to call the bridge line
  • Must have his or her own copy of the GET CLIENTS NOW! book
  • Should have regular access to email
  • Attendance at the majority of class sessions (see Incentives for details)
  • Submit marketing action plan to program leader for review before beginning of the 28-day coaching period
  • 3-5 hours per week for study and implementation of his/her marketing action plan (4-7 hours is ideal, depending on his/her action plan and other commitments)

Participant Incentives

We find that participants produce much better results when they have made an investment in the program.

Incentive #1: Acceptable program attendance – Must attend 1 of the 2 90-minute seminar sessions and 3 of the 4 coaching/accountability session. Full attendance is recommended for maximum benefit. These minimum requirements account for possible emergencies or conflicts. (This is the most easily tracked incentive.)

Incentive #2: Performance on daily actions – Score 7 out of 10 “yesses” each Friday of the program. (Relies on the honor system.)

Incentive #3: Achievement of program goal – Score 75% or higher on their program goal by the last day of the 28-day program. (I will need to see evidence of achievement.)

Many participants in the program will learn a great deal about themselves and marketing regardless of their performance. Some may change their action plans or program goals part way through the 28-day period if we determine that they have set unrealistic goals, or they chose action items or strategies that aren’t working. This kind of learning and revision is built into the program.

Expected Results

We keep our clients’ data confidential, so I can’t share with you specific results for participants in other programs. However, I can tell you about some of my experience with participants, from the GCN programs I have personally led. Following are some examples of the kinds of results we’ve seen.

The normal range of success with each person’s program goal is between 60% and 125%. Once in a while we’ll see a result as low as 25% to goal. Usually, such a low result is indicative of low daily activity scores and/or personal or family circumstances that interrupt activity during the program.

During the last coaching call of the program we talk about what’s next after the program ends. Most people who have not made their goal, but score 75% or higher, choose to simply continue with their action plan another week or two, confident that they will reach their program goal within that time frame. They build up momentum and confidence during the 28-day period and are excited to keep going. Those who make or exceed their goal are encouraged to start from the beginning and develop another marketing action plan, perhaps around a different goal.

The GET CLIENTS NOW! program is a marketing system that works over and over again. As people become more comfortable with marketing, they’ll set new kinds of goals and play with different strategies and tactics to increase their success.
