Hello!
Today I wanted to share some POP! No, not the carbonated beverage we Ohioans refer to. (Soda or Coke for the rest of the world) I mean POP! that makes you say, oh WOW! cool! Also, I wanted to let you know about a cool feature I added to my website called Appointment Quest to schedule FREE 15 minute consultations. Several clients have taken advantage of this and LOVE IT because we don't play phone or email tag. I've totally nipped that time sucker in the bud! You simply click the schedule an appointment link on my homepage and select a time that suits you from the calendar. No trying to figure out what to say in an email or quickly organizing your thoughts for a voicemail message. It's quick and painless - try it! Over the past few months I've made several recommendations to clients to read the book "POP! How to Stand Out In Any Crowd" by Sam Horn. Let me share an extraordinary break through a subscriber had the other day.
Mary is such a fun loving kinda gal. I picked up on the last three words "high performance groove" and checked for domain availability. HighPerformanceGroove.com is available. So is PeakPerformanceGroove.com (I already secured them in case Mary chooses to be groovy)
HOWEVER! High Performance Groove or Peak Performance Groove sounds way more intriguing, PLUS you can do a heck’uva lot more in your branding arsenal with the word “groove.”
Participants would also be more interested in working with an individual from “that groovy company”… and just think of the office toys you could brand groovy as give aways. Shucks, you could even wear a tie-die suit if ya wanted to! Tres' Groo-vay!
Plus what do you think of when somebody even says the word groove? I instantly want to chair dance. Grooving is good… people like it, it makes them FEEL good. Wasn’t there a movie titled, “How Stella Got Her Groove?” Anyway... Mary liked the direction this was taking, although somehow combining the words groove and performance made her think of a personal lubricant. (That never even crossed my mind, but as they say... sox sells!) So, consider this while I dance and get groovy around my office... (my web cam is turned OFF! ha!)
"Are you one-of-a-kind, or one-of-many? Create a POP!-ing Media Page People often struggle with what to put in the MEDIA section of their website. Here's an extraordinary example clipped straight from Sam's site: (be sure to click through to the media page)
What The Heck is a "Meetup?"
A long time ago, in a land far, far away... (actually clear back in 2002) a small start up created a new Web site called "Meetup" (www.meetup.com) that has a simple goal: It wants to help people with the same interests use the Internet to meet in person. Cool, eh? Some Meetup's include these popular interests. I see this as an excellent marketing tool. Not only to meet new interesting people - but to hook up with people who may need your services or can give referrals as well... Ta-dah! You're so brilliant - you thought of that already didn't you? I even started my own little Meetup... it's the Entrepreneur's Inner Circle of Mansfield. Had my first meeting earlier this week... just 4 people showed up, but that's no big deal. The largest Meetups are in New York City and one group that only started with 4 people, now has over 3,200 members! Yi, Yi, Yi! You'd need to hire an event planner! So, step up! Get out from behind your computer! Start a Meetup in YOUR city-suburb-hollar-cave-island or planet today! Spring Fling Web Site Blow Out!
One of the most successful attributes has been my updated website. It works FOR me more than ever before. Your website is the most powerful strategy you can use online to build a list of prospects to market to over and over again! Much love & success! (and all other groovy things)
